Graduate Studies @ Ontario - Canadian Universities. Many schools offer graduate studies in addition to undergraduate education. A graduate degree is an advanced degree such as a Master’s or PhD, with the general requirement of earning a previous undergraduate degree.

The Ontario Visiting Graduate Student (OVGS) Program allows a graduate student enrolled at an Ontario university to complete a graduate course at another Ontario university, while remaining registered at the student’s own institution. The program allows the student to bypass the usual application and transfer of credit processes.

In addition to creating a successful framework for funding graduate growth, Ontario universities recommend an expansion of graduate education in Ontario beyond the announced 6, spaces. While Ontario is a world leader in undergraduate education, the province is lagging behind other jurisdictions in graduate education.
